§ 18-70. Purpose.

(a)

The purpose of this article is to regulate certain types of businesses generally known as and defined herein as adult entertainment establishments. To that end, this article has been enacted in the interests of:

(1)

Promoting the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the city;

(2)

Preserving the quality of life in residential and business areas of the city; and

(3)

Promoting desirable living conditions and sustaining the stability of residential and commercial property valves.

(b)

This article is intended to reasonably regulate adult entertainment establishments and businesses in order to serve the legitimate governmental interests set out herein.
